Park Hyatt
is the T+L 500 Winner and the World's Best Winner as the Park Hyatt is among the most gorgeous and sophisticated hotels in the whole of Japan. It is an urbane property sitting on the top 14 floors in a Kenzo Tange-designed Shinjuku tower. On its own, it is a perfect reflection of Tokyo in the 21st century - high-tech and avant-garde. Their elevators are reserved only for the guest-room floors which offer privacy. It is so private that if you do see other guests then they're likely to be fashion designers, personalities, or CEOs. There’s no off-the-street foot traffic here and you’ll be wrapped in a rather hushed and soothing atmosphere. To add up all the hush-hush, their conscientious and discreet staff is ready to give you an extra mile of service. They can have you paged in Hamburg airport if you have a vacant room waiting and even find you those long trousers at midnight. And even right on stepping within the hotel’s premises, they’ve taken care of your jet lag by offering you an immaculately packaged aromatherapy products and massage at check in.

All in all, Park Hyatt has 177 rooms, 3 restaurants and 2 bars. All rooms have an average 45 sq. m or 484 sq. ft. in size. In a place like Tokyo, this is perhaps the biggest luxury in this spatially stingy city - the humungous size of their rooms. In fact, the Park Hyatt has the largest rooms in Tokyo and even has original artwork and stunning, expansive views, with walk-in closets, remote-control curtains, and even Japanese/English dictionaries.

But topping all these room luxuries are their bathrooms to die for with deep tub  and a separate shower. And the famous of their bathrooms are the special Park Hyatt toilets. These golden seats have enthroned everyone from Issey Miyake to Leonardo DiCaprio and other authentic royalty. Their toilet’s electronic seat adjusts according to your bum temperature so you’ll have a cozy wait while you watch a show of cherry trees to the tune of soothing music. Yes, your bathroom is like a movie theatre complete with surround sound. And when you’re finished, there are warm jets of water to wash off your dirt and then dried off by a blast of hot air which are strategically placed to provide you a thrilling ticklish sensation that are well orchestrated and timed. The tub is another story. The Park Hyatt is known for its view which is ultra-Nippon-cool, fifty-odd stories above Shinjuku, considered the most high tech neighborhood in town. However, this view is best seen in the luxury of the tub. From here, they have a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall window so that as you soak in what may be the size of most Tokyo apartments, you’re treated to an ample view of the Blade Runner panorama with Mount Fiji behind.

Beyond your room, don't miss their see-and-be-seen dinner at the New York Grill. Just be sure to book early for the 52nd-floor New York Grill, as this is one of Tokyo's best restaurants and is very well frequented. Rub elbows with great personalities with a spectacular setting and open kitchen views.
