British Colonial Hilton Nassau

The British Colonial Hilton is a very upscale hotel that is not like all the hotels which you find at the sun-kissed Cable Beach or on Paradise Island. This hotel, though still nestled in paradise, is primarily for the comfort and luxury of the business people visiting to Nassau. It is just as well for the Bahamian stock exchange is to be located in the office complex that is being built right next to the hotel. If you are interested and want to ask more about them, you can contact the 1-800 Hilton number to call. However, as far as this review is concerned, the rates of the hotel depends a lot on what time of year as well as what day of the day you are visiting, relative to how much a room would cost. All in all, this is a great hotel if you want to be near downtown. At the same time, you will also be able to enjoy their swimming pool and beach, though these are nothing like what you will find at the resorts on Cable Beach or Paradise Island.
Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort & Country Club

The Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort was opened in 1958 by no other than John D. Rockefeller, Jr.’s son Laurance with only one thing in mind – to create a place to vacation harmoniously with nature. By this, he must have meant something like “no building taller than a palm tree”, for that’s what it is now. After its creation, it was widely heralded as one of his Rock Resorts. And so up to now, the Hyatt Dorado still maintains Rockefeller’s intent in keeping up with the dense, blossoming gardens of the resort’s main section and the nearly concealed buildings colored in soft earth tones. All over the resort, there are tall palm trees that curve gracefully upward and natural forests which cover much of the resort’s grounds. In fact, you can even hear Coqui frogs sing here after dark.
However, inspite of the sprawing haven of nature, the Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort and Country Club still remains quite a large hotel with 280 units. This makes this 2 story hotel a great option for those guests who truly appreciate the benefits of a major hotel. As a matter of fact, Hyatt has spent millions on improvements here. Today, the renovated guest rooms have marble bathrooms and terra-cotta floors all throughout. Located on the north coast, 22 miles west of San Juan, it has 1,000 acres of land and features four golf courses, spa, watersports and a storied history.
