“The Sunshine State” is Florida’s official state name because of the many sunny days in Florida. The state was named by Ponce de Leon and literally means “full (or feast) of flowers” which is very fit for the numerous flowers found in Florida-the orange blossom, mountain laurel, camellia, may flower and apple blossom , just to mention a few. The kids will surely be overwhelmed by Walt Disney World which has live events, parks and all their favorite characters, and Sea World where you get to interact with aquatic animals while Dad wouldn’t want to miss a visit to the NASA Kennedy Space Center and have a glimpse of mans ingenuity.
